Bio

Kanchan grew up in Surrey and completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. She currently holds her National Orthopedic Division Level 1 certification and hopes to pursue these certifications further. Dreaming of becoming a physiotherapist since she was in grade 10, Kanchan hopes to do everything she can to get you back to whatever it is you love!

Kanchan employs a patient-centred approach, which means she creates individualized treatment plans for each of her clients, taking into account their unique needs and lifestyle factors. Kanchan structures all of her sessions around evidence-based research, education, manual therapy, and exercise. She firmly believes in empowering her patients and educating them on how to take charge of their rehabilitation and health related goals. Kanchan has experience working with a variety of orthopedic conditions such as whiplash, back pain, sport-related injuries and overuse strains. She is also interested in neurological injuries and pelvic health.

In addition to PainPro, Kanchan also works in Acute Care at Surrey Memorial Hospital, helping patients get back to their baseline activity levels while in hospital. Outside of work, you can find her being active whether that’s working out at the gym, climbing a mountain, or walking her dog, Benjamin. She also thoroughly enjoys trying out all different kinds of restaurants and cafés, especially with friends and family. Send all your recommendations her way!
