Bio

Dr. Anthony McDougall graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Biology, where he played varsity basketball for the U of C Dinos, before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic West in California.

Dr. McDougall first practiced in San Francisco before settling down for 15 years in Florence, Italy. He has completed extensive post-graduate education including Active Release Techniques (ART), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Exercise 1 for Weightlifting, Functional Movement Systems’ FMS and SFMA levels 1 and 2, One-To-Zero (OTZ) Frozen Shoulder Technique, Kinesio Taping, and the International Chiropractic Sports Sciences Diploma (ICSSD).

He has had the pleasure of treating athletes and dancers of all ages including Athletics competitors from the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, the Italian National Rowing Team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and Vancouver’s own Ballet BC and Arts Umbrella dancers.

Dr. McDougall joins our rehabilitation team at painPRO City Square on West Broadway and Metrotown Burnaby with over 20 years experience.

During his spare time, Dr. McDougall enjoys cycling, learning all he can about performance care, sports injury prevention, and dance medicine, as well as being a board member of the Contemporary Art Gallery. Watching and coaching his sons play sports is also a passion.
