Bio

Dr. McDougall brings almost 30 years of experience to painPRO. He has practiced in San Francisco, Florence, and now Vancouver, with extensive post-graduate training in Active Release Techniques (ART), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Functional Movement Systems (FMS/SFMA), OTZ Frozen Shoulder Technique, Kinesio Taping, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He also holds an International Chiropractic Sports Sciences Diploma (ICSSD).

He has treated elite athletes and dancers, including competitors from the 2000 and 2012 Olympic Games, the Italian National Rowing Team, Ballet BC, and Arts Umbrella dancers. Alongside painPRO Physiotherapist Chris Tierney, they are the only RSQ1 providers in Western Canada.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. McDougall has a strong passion for the arts. He has served on the board of directors of the Eastside Arts Society and the Contemporary Art Gallery, in Vancouver. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, strength & conditioning, learning about dance medicine and performance care, as well as coaching basketball.
