Mason is a recent graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (Spring 2020) and plans on completing his registration exams in the Fall of 2020.
Mason graduated from UBC in 2018 from the School of Kinesiology. During his undergrad, Mason worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach at Saltus Athletics and eventually landed an internship at Fortius Sport and Health, working as a Strength and Conditioning intern, and a Sports Science intern. Mason was exposed to working with a variety of clients ranging from recreational athletes to pro-am athletes, and general population to weekend warriors.
While in massage school, Mason has worked at several outreach locations ranging from HIV-positive locations, senior care facilities, to sport massages at SFU. These outreaches taught Mason to apply a wide range of techniques such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, hydrotherapy, neuromuscular techniques, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching.
On his off days, Mason enjoys competing in volleyball, playing a casual game of basketball, and lifting weights in the gym to stay active. Most recently, Mason is new doggy dad and will probably tell all about his ball of mischief.
