Dr. Matthew Ormerod grew up in North Delta and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors’s degree in Human Kinetics before completing his Chiropractic education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). While at CMCC he received the distinction of clinical honors. Dr. Ormerod is trained in both Active Release Technique (ART) and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).
Dr. Ormerod was an All-Canadian athlete during his time with Douglas College Soccer. He had the honor of representing Blackpool FC, Leicester FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves after his varsity career ended.
Dr. Ormerod has enjoyed six years of practice in Vancouver. He joins Pain Pro having had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of patients of all ages including weekend warriors, varsity and professional athletes, and those with more chronic and complex complaints. By utilizing a combination of manual therapy and active rehabilitation/ exercise, Dr. Ormerod’s passion is helping his patients return to their regular activities post-injury while laying the groundwork to help prevent future injuries.
Away from Pain Pro, Dr. Ormerod leads an active lifestyle. He continues to play masters soccer and enjoys participating in local running and cycling events.
